This set of 3 worksheets provides practice in working with synonyms and antonyms. Students will also practice dictionary skills, as some of the words they will work with are above grade level.
- The first worksheet asks students to decide whether two underlined words are synonyms or antonyms.
- The second worksheet asks students to choose a word from the box to fill in the blank with the antonym of a given word. Students will also match synonyms.
- The third worksheet gives a list of words in a chart, and students are asked to fill in their synonyms and antonyms by choosing them from a box.
Worksheets #2 and #3 include words that many kids will need to look up in a dictionary, making this a great opportunity for dictionary practice.
