Get the students thinking in 3d with these simple Pop Up Heart Bear Hug cards. Once students have learnt the technique for the Pop Up Heart, you can challenge them to come up with different 3d shapes too.


The bear is created using basic shapes – ovals and circles. The students are shown how these are quickly put together to make a cute bear that you can customise with different facial expressions. As an extension idea, how can you use these basic shapes to create other designs, such as cats, dogs or bunnies?


A fun seasonal activity for Valentine’s Day, but would also make a fantastic Mother’s Day Card or Birthday Card.
