Introduce or review the three branches in science with your students at the beginning of the year with this complete lesson plan! To learn about the branches in science, students will complete a foldable or interactive notebook, brainstorm questions to four short videos and illustrations, and complete a branches of science activity (picture sort) with their table group. At the end, conduct a gallery walk for students to see how other groups sorted their pictures and discuss a closing question with their groups.

This lesson focuses on a basic introduction of each branch and really getting students thinking about connections between the three branches.
