Sight words help promote reading comprehension and confidence when reading. These Pre Primer Sight Word clip cards will improve automaticity in identifying words and fluency in reading for your student. They are great for developing visual discrimination, visual memory and fine motor coordination.

It is perfect for individuals, small groups, morning work, assessment, literacy centers, intervention and fast finishers.

This resource includes:

40 Dolch Pre-Primer sight words colour clip cards – 10 pages

40 Dolch Pre-Primer sight words black and white clip cards – 10 pages

40 Dolch Pre-Primer sight words black and white word cards- 2 pages

1 Recording sheet—black and white. This can be laminated or used as is.

For self-correction, the teacher could mark a dot or place a sticker behind the correct answer on each card before laminating them.

Dont have clothespins …no worries. Use dry-erase markers.

Prep

Print on cardstock, laminate and cut out Clip Cards,punch a hole in a corner of each card and put them all on a ring if you wish.

Variation

Word cards can also be used to play memory game.

Direction:

Shuffle and place cards face done across the table. Have each student take turns selecting 2 cards at a time. If the cards match the student keeps the pair and gets another turn, if not, the cards should be placed back face down on the table and the other player gets a turn.
