There are also 5 different response worksheets for your students to write and draw their sentences onto, these are all differentiated too to suit your learners’ needs.

How to use this resource

Depending on which mat your student has chosen, they will be aiming to choose 2, 3 or 4 different parts to their sentence. Your student then rolls a dice either 2, 3 or 4 times to choose the who, what, where and when parts of their sentence. Your student can then write and draw their sentences on the corresponding response worksheet.

As this sentence writing resource is differentiated you are sure to find a suitable variation of this activity to suit the needs of all your students.

As this sentence structure resource includes 12 different mats it can be used with your entire class ensuring most of your students receive a different worksheet.

This sentence writing activity can also be used with smaller groups or as a Literacy Center. You can either laminate each response worksheet or place it into a dry erase folder before use ensuring the worksheets can be used over and over again. Your students can use dry erase markers when completing the activity then simply wipe out their answers when they are done!
