The decade of the 1920s in America is commonly called the Roaring Twenties. This teacher-friendly resource has three parts that will help students learn about this ten-year period of American history. over three-five class periods. First, there are nine concise single page sections covering these Roaring Twenties topics: Prohibition, technology, society, standard of living, the arts, sports and entertainment, gangsters, politics, and the stock market crash. Each page includes a brief reading (with images) and three-four assessment questions for that page. Following that is a crossword puzzle with clues taken from all nine pages that allows further practice for students. Finally, there is a single page with three extension project suggestions for use with your students to help them focus in on one aspect of the decade. Answers are included for the assessment work and crossword puzzle.
