This grammar resource is the product of many years refining the teaching of phrases and clauses in a middle school classroom. It is a balance between teaching important new concepts at a level most middle schoolers can grasp (without overwhelming them) and reinforcing their understanding of fundamental grammar concepts.  Through the years, we learned that when we get this balance right, grammar study really helps our students become knowledgeable, confident, successful writers.
