Celebrate Valentine’s Day with this fun Unlock the Box Math Mystery escape room activity. Your students will use teamwork and problem solving skills to solve the clues and unlock the box for a special surprise.


Easy set-up:

Simply fill a box with a special treat – pencils, erasers, lollipops, etc. Then, use a 4-digit lock to lock the box. The last clue will give your students the code to unlock it. Another option is to use a lock with a key. Then, you can just give the students the key when they get the correct answer for the last clue.


Put the clues into envelopes and give them to the groups of students when they are ready for them.
