This is a five day review plan and activity for small group remediation on word problems and basic operations – adding and subtracting, addition and subtraction single-step word problems, addition and subtraction multi-step word problems, and multiplication and division word problems. The first four days have directions and lesson plans, a guided practice sheet, and an independent practice sheet. The last day has directions for the teacher and a 8 question exit ticket to check student’s knowledge after four days of remediation. There is also a digital instructor slide show to help with guided practice if doing whole group or using an interactive board for remediation. Each day covers a different topic and then there is an exit ticket for day 5. These are geared towards the VA SOLs – Math SOL 3.3 specifically – they are useful for anyone reviewing word problems with 2nd-4th graders.
